Canadian Analytical laboratories is an ISO 17025: 2017 accredited food and beverages testing laboratory in Canada. We provide advanced analytical testing to companies in order to comply with Health Canada and CFIA regulations and to ensure food quality and public safety. Analytical Testing Services

Food Additive Identification and Quantification

We conduct comprehensive food and additive safety testing using official methods for both suitability and compliance with nutritional labeling required for Nutritional Analysis. Our food and beverage analysis provides determination of artificial colouring, flavouring, and preservatives.

Microbial Contamination & Adulterants

Our pathogen analysis testing services fully supports food processors environmental monitoring and food safety programs as part of their efforts to identify and eliminate root cause of pathogenic organism and contamination. Our laboratory team and facilities offer the testing capacity you need as your production increases, and new products are introduced.

Our analytical microbiology department has the expertise to enumerate many strains of bacteria as well able to test for identification of Microbial contamination and adulterants. We analyze both pathogenic and nonpathogenic indicator organisms including the set of indicator organisms as mandated by Health Canada. Each product, prior to release for sale, is tested for Total Aerobic Bacterial counts, e. Coli, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus, Yeast and Mold. Contaminants also include pesticides residue and toxic metals.

Nutrition Analysis and Nutrition Facts Panel Testing

Nutritional Fact Tables on food labels are mandatory on all food products sold in Canada. The required parameters need to be tested in an accredited laboratory with established methods that have been vetted through Proficiency Testing programs. Food matrices are complex and are challenging to navigate. The accuracy of the nutritional facts table on your food products is crucial as consumers are basing their healthy choices on the data presented on your labels.
