MISSISSAUGA, February 11, 2022 / — Canadian Analytical Laboratories (“CAL” or “the Company”) a leading provider of analytical testing, method development, validation and research services to the regulated health and food products industries in Canada announced today that the Company was awarded a scope extension to its ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation.
The scope adds chemical testing of dried cannabis and cannabis oil for pesticides, heavy metals, and potency, as well as chemical and microbiological testing for natural health products (dietary supplements).
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is the highest globally recognized quality standard in the world for calibration and testing laboratories. To earn the accreditation, a laboratory is assessed in its ability to consistently produce precise and accurate tests and have implemented a rigorous quality management system. This also requires personnel to be highly competent to perform all testing on the scope of accreditation. The accreditation was provided by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (PJLA).
